Luana Sue Plourde, age 45, of Marion, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at her home.
Luana was born on November 26, 1968 in Cambridge, OH to Richard and Norma (Michaud) Plourde, who both survive.
Luana was a special individual who brought joy to everyone. She especially made us all smile when she assigned a favorite nickname for each family member. Luana loved rock music and was an avid follower of the rock group KISS. She loved Paula Dean and enjoyed making a lot of her recipes with her sister, but most of all she loved the challenge of puzzle making.
In addition to her parents, Luana is survived by brother, Brian R. (Shirley) Plourde, of Munford, Tn; sisters, Diane (Tim) Tanner, of Marion, Brenda (Mike) Dalton , Ill, and Elena Taormina of Westerville, OH, seven nephews, four nieces, four great-nephews, three great-nieces, eight aunts, one uncle, and numerous cousins living in Maine and Connecticut.
The family would like to extend a thank you to MRDD and MARCA for all of their help. Words alone cannot express our deep gratitude to Melody Lust, her personal nurse and caretaker, whom she loved dearly.
Catholic Funeral Rites will be observed Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11AM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors.
