On Saturday February 22, 2014, Mary Margaret (Bramhall) Martin age 92 of Marion, Ohio, was greeted by her husband Gene and escorted to the gates of heaven.
A woman of great faith, she was born on November 25, 1921 in Marion, Ohio to the late Edward and Florence (Beam) Bramhall.
She graduated from Harding High School in 1939.
She married Gene Martin on June 14, 1941. They raised two children, Cathy and Cynthia, and shared over 58 years of marriage. Gene preceded her in death on December 20, 1999.
She worked at the Marion Power Shovel. She also served on the election board and did volunteer work for the American Red Cross.
Mary had been an active member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was a member of various circles. She taught Sunday School and Bible School.
She is survived by her two children; Cathy (William) Hartman, and Cynthia Wade. She is also survived by three grandsons; Jeremy (Kristen) Stringfellow, Kevin (Sherrie) Wade, and Jason Wade, as well as great-grandchildren; Oliver and Reese Stringfellow.
Including her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Pete Wade.
There will be a Graveside Service and burial on Tuesday February 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Rev. Floyd Radebaugh.
