Phyllis Ann Fleming, age 82, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 4:42 a.m. in the Kindred Community of Marion.
She was born on May 4, 1931 in Marion, Ohio to George and Bernice (Corbin) Imbody.
Phyllis married Gene Fleming in Marion, Ohio on August 20, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 20, 1998 in Marion.
She was a 1949 graduate of Harding High School and was employed at one time with the Kresge Co. and Fulfillment Corp. of America.
Phyllis truly enjoyed her monthly outings and the time spent with the ladies of her card club.
The lifelong Marion resident is survived by 2 sons; Mike (Chris) Fleming of Wesley Chapel, Fl. & Mark (Lisa) Fleming of Marion, Oh., 4 grandchildren; Julia & Lindsay Fleming, Natalie (Jerome) Creek, and Alexandria (Ryan) Hudson, and 4 great grandchildren; Addison & Isabel Hudson and Mason & Levi Creek. Phyllis is also survived by a very dear friend; Mary Clarkson. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, 2 brothers; Morgan & Gene Imbody, and 3 sisters; Vivian Elliott, Norma Waserbeck, & Patricia Caudill.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 11,2014, from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Caledonia Cemetery. Rev. David DiPietro will officiate.
