Betty Sue Cooper, age 67, of Marion passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at 9:37 a.m. in the Marion General Hospital. She was born in Floyd Co., Kentucky on July 18, 1946 to Herbert and Lou Emma (Perry) Robinson.
On July 5, 1965 in Kenton, Ohio, Betty married James R. “Russ” Cooper and he survives.
Betty was a very active member of the Central Southern Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by her entire church family.
Betty was employed for 13 years at Krogers where she worked as a meat clerk.
She has lived in the Waldo and Marion areas for the past 41 years.
Surviving along with her husband Russ are 2 sons; Russell Lee Cooper of Marion, Oh. & Ronald Eric (Casey) Cooper of Bellevue, Oh., 2 granddaughters; Anna & Grace Cooper, 2 brothers; Clifford (Juanita) Robinson of Lima, Oh. & H. (Ruth) Robinson of North Carolina, a sister; Bertha Thomas of Kenton, Oh., mother-in-law; Betty F. Cooper of Marion, Oh., several nieces & nephews, and special loved ones close to her heart; Marylynn & Justin Hage (their children; Kaitlyn & Kenzington) of Marion, Oh. and Dorothy & Randall Baum of Dunkirk, Oh.
Friends may call at the Central Southern Baptist Church on Monday, March 17, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the church on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. by Pastor Ryan Struther and Pastor Ronald Cooper with burial to follow in the Waldo Cemetery.
