Edna Mae Harless age 79 of Marion, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Sunday March 23, 2014.
She was born on June 7, 1934 in Wayland, Ky., to the late Robert and Alga (Collins) Martin.
On June 14, 1958 she married her husband of 56 years, James Harless and he survives.
Edna was a founding member of Restoration Tabernacle Family Life Church. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother to her family.
She leaves behind her husband as well as two daughters and five sons; Kathy (Timothy) Downing, Alicia (Ron) Harless, Larry Layne, Tom Layne, Keith Layne, Steven (Paula) Harless, Richie (Beckie) Starling, and fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren also survive. Two sisters and two brothers survive as well; Delia (Robert) Piatt, Jean Patterson, Raymond (Kim) Martin, and Ed (Holly) Martin.
Besides her parents Edna was preceded in death by a son, Terry Layne, daughter-in-laws, Marilyn and Rebecca Layne, and three sisters and a brother; Mabel Gibson, Dinah Benigni, Avoneal Daliessio, Virgil Martin, and also a half sister and three half brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral Services will be on Friday March 28, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Toney. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M.
