James Everett Jones, 23, formerly of Marion

James Everett JonesJames Everett Jones, aka “Chunk”, “Bub” and “King James,” put himself to bed and woke up in heaven March 2, 2014.

He is now flying high with his namesake and grandfather, James E. Jones, his two aunts Shirl and Renee, his great grandparents Willene, Enis, Madge and George.

James was born November 2, 1990.

He is survived by his “queen”, “soul” and “love of his life”, Jonelle Asenato, his parents George and Becky Jones, grandmothers Edna Jones and Sue Mayo, grandfather Gerald Garner. Missed by sisters Tracy Thompson (John Coons), Bobbi Jo Lines, Mindy Frederick (Jeff Frederick), two nephews Zachary and Christopher Thompson and niece BreeAnna Lines. Also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

James attended school in Marion, participated in Wrestling and Football and graduated from high school in 2010.

He had a very addictive smile that could light up a room and was able to silence a crowd with his outrageous, untamed stories. Composure was not a top priority of his. He would do just about anything for money, attention or a laugh. His body art was one of a kind and his pride and joy. He loved to dress flashy, trashy and top it off with his gold teeth bling.

James grew up in Marion but lived his best and last years of life in West Palm Beach, Florida at the “Thugz Mansion” with his new Florida Family including best friend Mark Burwell, Sean Sullivan, Nicholas Pavlides, Dan Surico, Daniel Delemo, Mike Litzie, Sean Miller, Steve Curcio, and Shane Alexander.

We have discovered over the last few days that many more friends, not listed here, were touched by James and had a positive impact on his life.

Anyone who knew James knew he struggled with drugs in the past. He moved to Florida to get help and better himself. His cause of death is yet unknown, but he would want his death and life to be a motivation for others to seek help and overcome their struggles.

A special thanks to The Treatment Center www.thetreatmentcenter.com 1(877) 392-3342 and Cameron Villas www.cameronvillasflorida.com (561)429-9389.

A scholarship in James’ name is being set up at Cameron Villas, a sober living community, to help other addicts find their path to sobriety. Call the number above if you would like to donate.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Dayspring Wesleyan Church 2431 Marion Mt Gilead Road, Marion, Ohio. Burial will follow at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
