Lotus L. Riester age 96 of Columbus, Ohio formerly of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at OSU Medical Center.
She was born October 5, 1917 in Palo Alto County, Iowa to the laye Fred L. and Lulla Bell (Alderson) Hamilton.
In 1937 she married Eldon J. Bush, he preceded her in death in 1945. In 1949 she married Francis J. Riester, he preceded her in death in 1955.
Lotus formerly attended Oakland United Methodist Church, she was formerly employed at Marion Country Club, Hotel Harding and Marion County Job and Family Services as the Nutrition Manager.
She is survived by her children, Douglas E. (Kathleen) Bush of Ashville, Oh., Donald L. (Margaret) Bush of Fairborne, Oh., Nancy A. (Stephen) Prater of Dublin, Oh., Linda D. (Charles) Hester of Omaha, Nb., 4 grandchildren, Susan Bush, Daniel (Lara) Bush, Michele (Daniel) Dotlich, Amy (Judd) Dillon, 2 great grandchildren, Magan and James Bush, her sister, Shirley Louck of Columbus, Oh.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Eldon Bush, 4 brothers, Clarence, Lyle, Donald and Robert, 4 sisters, Verna, Arlene, Wilma and Virginia.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 2 – 5 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, March 24, 2014 @ 1 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Dwight Hord officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
