Marilyn Mae Jones, age 78, of Marion, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Marion Manor.
Marilyn was born on November 29, 1935 in Marion, the daughter of Robert Theodore and Ada Mae (McClain) Wolfe. She attended the Harding High School and graduated in the class of 1955. Marilyn was a devoted homemaker and also worked as a lab technician at Nachurs, retiring from there in 1980.
On February 3, 1957, Marilyn was united in marriage to Richard M. Jones. They shared 54 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on March 6, 2011.
Marilyn had a love of nature. She was an avid bird watcher, enjoyed camping and fishing and animals of all kinds. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles, other word games and card games. Marilyn had a great sense of humor and a love for music.
She was a member of the Fairpark Baptist Church, and had a strong faith in God. Above all else, she adored and cherished her family.
She is survived by her beloved children: Leeann M. (Michael) Krikau of Elkhart, IN, Frances M. Butz and Kim M. (J.) Vance both of Marion; grandchildren: Mike Snyder, Eric (Christine) Butz, Brandon Vance, Ben Snyder, Kayleigh Vance and Adam Butz; 4 great grandchildren; siblings: Robert Allen Wolfe and Joan Maxine Haas, both of Marion.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard M. Jones and an infant daughter Deborah M. Jones.
Services will be held privately by the family.
