Sharon L. Pfeiffer, age 72, of Marion passed away on Monday morning, March 10, 2014, in the Florida Memorial Hospital, Daytona Beach, Florida.
She was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 7, 1942 to William Joseph and Violet Mae (Dean) Riebel.
Sharon married William C. Pfeiffer on June 16, 1962 in the Epworth United Methodist Church and he survives in Marion.
From 1962 until 1972, Sharon was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed sewing, working in her flower garden, and most of all the past 16 winters she had spent with Bill at their home in Florida. For 8 years, she had been employed with the Marion General Hospital and Dr. Richard Mills as a registered nurse.
Surviving along with her husband are 2 sons; John W. Pfeiffer and James M. (Heather) Pfeiffer both of Marion, Oh., a daughter; Jennifer J. (Chuck) Campbell of Marion, Oh., and 5 grandchildren; Andrew M. & Dustin M. Pfeiffer, Xander, Zuri, & Marissa Campbell. Sharon is also survived by a lifelong best friend; Connie Mattern of Marion.
She was preceded in death by a grandson; Hudson Campbell.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday, March 20, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the First Church of the Nazarene on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with burial to follow in the Marion Cemetery. Pastor Steve deWeber will officiate.
