Catherine M. Howell, age 67, of Marion passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at 9:11 a.m. in the Marion General Hospital.
She was born on January 12, 1947 in Marion, Ohio to Howard and Dale (Franklin) Hodges. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Marion.
Catherine married Raymond S. Howell in Marion, Ohio on January 19, 1980 and he also survives.
She was a 1965 graduate of Harding High School and a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Catherine was manager of the Marion Green Apartments for 16 years before retiring in 2012. She truly loved her family, having a house full of kids, and the many family gatherings.
The lifelong Marion resident is survived by her mother, her husband of 34 years, a son; Todd Monette of Marion, Oh., a daughter; Tami Monette of Marion, Oh., 2 brothers; Marc (Sue) Hodges of Marion, Oh. & Gary (Gina) Hodges, 6 grandchildren; Olivia, Shaylah, Paige, Leigha, Brittany, & Jeffrey, and 3 great grandchildren; Savannah, Meriya, & Wesley.
Catherine was preceded in death by her father and a daughter; Kimberly Howell.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home today, April 17th, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. Rev. Mark Schuring will conduct the funeral service in the funeral home on Friday, April 18th, at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
