Helen Mary (Koepfer) Yost, age 94, of Marion went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 3, 2014.
Born December 22, 1919 to the late Frank W. and Julia L. (Wank) Koepfer in Alvada, OH.
Helen was married to the love of her life Hubert I. Yost on November 11, 1939 in Alvada, Ohio. They were married 58 years before his passing on March 30, 1997.
Helen is survived by children, Eugene V. Yost of Marion, Marlene (Tom) Kirkpatrick of Marysville, Michael (Brenda) Yost, Daniel (Kathy) Yost both of Marion and Charles (Judy) Schuster of Bucyrus; grandchildren, Scott Schuster of Marion, Brian (Kris) Schuster of Bucyrus, Aaron Kirkpatrick of Marysville, Michelle (Tom) O’Brien, Matthew (Aubrey) Yost and Marcus Yost, all of Marion, Tina (Eric) Grills of Marion, and Robert Hotellling of Georgia; great-grandchildren, Brian Jr. and Lucas Schuster of Bucyrus, Alexus and Madison O’Brien, Emma Ivanell Yost, Riley, Ellie, and Cooper Grills, Nichole and Samantha Sturtz. Also surviving Helen is her sister, Martha (Bob) Myers of Alvada and in-laws Harold and Ann Yost and Erma Brodman all from Carey along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen is preceded in death by daughter, Shirley Schuster on July 15, 1980 and her brothers Paul and Carl Koepher and sisters, Claira Hoffbauer and Florence Bentz.
Helen will be dearly missed by all her family and special friend Rosie along with her ladies from her card club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marion General Hospital Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Father Thomas Buffer will preside over the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
