Johnny Thacker Sr. age 66 of Marion, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday April 22, 2014 while surrounded by his family.
Johnny was born in 1947 in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Johnny married Janis Lewis on February 14, 1976 at First Freewill Baptist Church in Marion, Ohio. They had two sons, Johnny Jr. and Adam.
Johnny is preceded in death by his son, Johnny Jr., mother, father, three brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife, Janis, son Adam (Brittney) Thacker, and his precious grandbaby, Liam Thacker. He is also survived by two beloved pets, Max and Harley.
Johnny worked at J-Lenco in LaRue, Ohio for more than 25 years before retiring in 2011. He enjoyed attending First Freewill Baptist Church to hear the word of God, and worship with his brothers and sisters in Christ.
There will be a private showing at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home for Johnny’s immediate family. Burial will take place at a later time.
