Robert F. Compston age 74 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Sunday April 27, 2014 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born December 16, 1939 in Delaware, Ohio to the late Floyd Herbert and Margaret Louise Millisor Compston.
On June 24, 1962 in Marion, Ohio he married Billie Lou Phillips and she survives.
Robert was retired from the Haines Manufacturing Co. of Marion, Ohio.
Robert loved to hunt and fish, he had volunteered as a Sergeant with the Ohio Military Reserve, in years past he coached baseball for the Marion Baseball for Youth, he loved his Church, Victory Center Church of God, and he dearly loved his family.
Robert leaves behind his loving wife as well as two sons; Kenny (Jama) Compston of Mansfield, Ohio, and Robert L. (Elizabeth) Compston of Marion, Ohio. Also, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive; Pam (Andy) Kibler, William Compston, Coltin Waller Compston, and William Andrew John Kibler. Two sisters; Ruth Ann (David Martin) Jackson and Linda Lou Persinger, both of Marion, Ohio survive, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Robert was preceded in death by a brother William Eugene Compston.
There will be a Graveside Service and Burial on Friday May 2, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at the Marion Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Pastor Don Howell. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Friday one hour prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M.
