Sandra K. “Sandy” Bright, age 67, of Mt. Gilead, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 10:49 a.m. in the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born on October 13, 1946 in Akron, Ohio to the late Charles William and Lois M. (Shanabarger) Stalnaker.
Sandy married Dize Bright in Akron, Ohio on June 6, 1980 and he survives.
She was an awesome woman of God and for the past 23 years was employed as a secretary for the Marion Christian Center. Her church and church family were of upmost importance to her.
Sandy is survived by a son; Nick (Noelle) Chaplik of Louisville, Oh., 2 daughters; Jenny (Larry) Minarcik of Pheonix, Az. & Julie (Todd) McAtee of Canton, Oh., 2 step daughters; Julie & Jenny Bright both of Akron, Oh., a sister; Odetta Tessmer of Cleveland, Oh., 15 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother; Ronald Stalnaker.
Friends may call at the Marion Christian Center on Monday, April 7, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Perry Payne will be conducting the celebration of her life and the burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Chesterville, Ohio.
