Daniel Eugene Thomas age 58 of Prospect, Ohio, passed away on Saturday May 3, 2014 at his residence.
He was born January 8, 1956 in Marion, Ohio to the late Edward J. and Charlotte (Potter) Thomas.
On July 31, 2008 in Marion he married Christine Renee Haumesser and she survives.
Dan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was co-owner of Thomas Music and Games in Marion, Ohio. Thirty-two years ago when him and his beloved sister, Diane Diamond, started Thomas Music and Games with one centipede at OK cafe they did not know that it would turn into what is today a big corporation. And the legacy will continue to live on.
He raised and loved six Doberman Pinchers throughout his lifetime. Everyone he met he showed his love and friendship too. Favorite quotes were “more cowbell” and “it’s not my first rodeo”. Though he was a workaholic he never missed a Buckeye and Brown’s game. Passion for cars and racing he had. If he wanted a car or any vehicle there was no stopping him. He always had a joke to tell no matter the situation. And a quote from his favorite song “Cause I’m as free as a bird now And this bird, you cannot change”.
Daniel is survived also by three daughters and a son; Britnie Jean Caudill of Dublin, Ohio, Linsey Nicole Bowen of Marion, Ohio, Charlotte Catherine Thomas of Marion, Ohio, and James Michael Bowen of Columbus, Ohio. Two step-daughters and one step-son survive; Jennifer (Gabriel) Unibe of Los Angeles, Ca., Heather (Anthony) Gregory of Columbus, Ohio, and Jeremy (Brandie) Grimm of Canal Winchester, Ohio, as well as eight step-grandchildren survive. Daniel also leaves behind his beloved sister, Diane Thomas (Buzzie) Diamond of Marion, Ohio, and two brothers; Kenneth (Sue) Thomas of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Stephen (Christine) Thomas of Mansfield, Ohio, and a niece, Sarah, and nephews, David, Michael, Justin, Mark, Josh, and Matthew survive.
