Lois Jean Wilson, age 80, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 9:50 a.m. in the Marion General Hospital.
She was born in West Virginia on October 27, 1933 to the late James and Flossie (Rhodes) Pickens.
Lois married Charles J. Wilson on June 4, 1954 in Marion, Ohio and he preceded her in death on January 12, 1992 in Columbus, Ohio.
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a 1952 graduate of Marion Harding High School. Throughout her working career , Lois was employed as a secretary for Techumseh Products, the Holiday Inn, and most recently with the Indian Lake State Parks.
She is survived by 4 daughters; Deborah (Keith) Ketcham of Marion, Oh., Linda (Bruce) Miley of Marion ,Oh., Carla (Dennis) Kisner of Marion, Oh., & Helen Kuntz of Lima, Oh., a sister; Shirley Taylor of Marengo, Oh., 7 grandchildren; Joseph (Tiffany) Ketcham, Tanya Ketcham-Schmidt, Vanessa (Shawn Scott) Miley, Michelle (Mike) Dempsey, Chris Kuntz, Kevin Kuntz, & Lori Hagerman, and 4 great grandchildren; Aiden & Kaleb Ketcham, Shelby Scott, and Cheyenne Dempsey. Lois is also survived by a very dear friend; JoAnn Clapsaddle. She was preceded in death by a son; James D. Wilson.
A memorial service will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Casual dress is encouraged. Father Thomas Buffer will be officiating. Friends are invited to the Knights of Columbus Hall at 1:00 p.m. following the service to fellowship with the family.
