Carol Jean Davis, age 86, of Marion went home to be with her lord on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 12:45 p.m. She was born on October 3, 1927 in Pittsburg, Pa. to James W. and Anna (Lippencott) Cooper.
Carol married Roland Davis in Alliance, Ohio on April 16, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2004 in Galion, Ohio.
She was a past member of the Grace Baptist Church and currently is a member of the Gospel Baptist Church of Galion, Oh.
Before her retirement, Carol was employed for 17 years as a LPN with the Community Med Center Hospital, Marion.
She is survived by 3 sons; Mark (Sue) Davis of Marion, Oh., Ronald Davis of Santa Clara, Ca., and James (Karen) Davis of Oklahoma City, Ok., 3 daughters; Debra (Tom) Jeffers of Galion, Oh., Becky (Bob) Compton of Rochester, Mi., and Keely (Craig) Ault of Marion, Oh., 1 brother; Joe (Ann) Cooper of Edinburg, Oh., 2 sisters; Barbara Dudek of Burmingham, Al. and Edie Hunt of Montana, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and a daughter-in-law; Terry Davis.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Chris Plough will be officiating and burial will follow in the Caledonia Cemetery.
