Richard Fisher, 76, of rural Prospect

Richard FisherRichard Fisher, 76 of rural Prospect, died peacefully early Wednesday morning June 4, 2014 at his home.

He was born April 15, 1938 in Westerville to the late Frank and Ruth (Osborn) Fisher

A true farmer, Richard could fix and construct anything. He was a genius at knowing how things worked and making things work. He loved to garden- vegetables, flowers and pumpkins. He could always be seen with his beloved border collie, Lucy by his side.

Richard was a man who modeled his faith by serving and helping others.

On May 31, 1959 in Westerville, he married Martha (Moore) and she survives, also surviving are their children: Christy (Rob) Leeds of Ostrander, Sherry (Arden) Ruth of Green Camp and Julie (Cy) Prettyman of New Bloomington
Four Grandchildren: Isaac Leeds, Caden Ruth, Lauren and Tyler Prettyman

Three Sisters: Doris (Clay) Rammelsberg of Galena, Patty (Larry) Clark of Westerville and Kathy (Cliff) Petty of Columbus
Sister-in-law: Martha Jane Fisher of Westerville

Preceded in death by one brother: Don Fisher

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday June 8, 2014 at 5:00 pm at the Leeds Farm, 8738 Marysville Rd. (St. Rt. 36) Ostrander, Ohio 43061, following the service there will be food and fellowship. Casual attire is encouraged. In keeping with Richard’s wishes, his body was donated to The Ohio State University Medical School.
