Roberta Marie Holmes age 67 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Saturday May 31, 2014 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born July 1, 1946 in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Robert and Janice (Corn) Waltermeyer.
On August 4, 1989 in Marion she married William R. Holmes and he survives.
Roberta was retired as a School Teacher for thirty-five years with the Marion City Schools. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Marion Senior Center. Roberta was also an avid OSU fan and enjoyed spending time at Indian Lake. She also enjoyed her feline companion, Mitzie the cat.
Besides her husband, Roberta is survived by a daughter and two sons; Pamela Turek of Sylvania, Ohio, Keith (Michelle) Blair of Toledo, Ohio, and Gregory (Dalani) Harris of Marion, Ohio. Nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive as well as two sisters and two brothers; Terry (Ed) Brouillet of San Francisco, Ca., Ruth Waltermeyer of Columbus, Ohio, Mike (Sue) Waltermeyer of Findlay, Ohio, and Paul (Karen) Waltermeyer of Powell, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday June 4, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Deacon Todd Tucky. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service from 3 to 5 P.M.
