Billie David Waddell Sr. passed away unexpectedly July 9, 2014 at 67 years old.
Billie was born to the late Juanita Gannon and Vernon Waddle in Ironton, Ohio on January 9, 1947.
On June 5, 1965 Billie married the LOVE of his life, Shirley Kay (Blair) Waddell. They had two children; Billie David Waddell Jr. and Teena Marie Waddell. He was blessed with six grandchildren; Mandy (Waddell) Meyers, Billie Waddell III, Ashley Waddell, Josh Cox, Adam Crabtree, & Brittany Crabtree. He was also blessed with 7 sweet great grandchildren; Noah Waddell, Bella Waddell, Antonio Cochran Jr., Nevaeh Cochran, Oliviana Meyers, Kareem Crabtree, Arlonzo Waddell, and a baby boy due in November. Surviving also is one brother; Carl Gannon Jr. of Marion, Oh. and a daughter-in-law; Lena Waddell.
Billie was preceded in death by his son Billie David Waddell Jr., two brothers; Michael Williams & Ronald Williams and one sister; Donna Rae (Waddell) Davis.
Billie worked for 20 years at Tecumseh Products until they closed and then 24 years for corrections from which he retired in February 2009 at N.C.C.I.
Billie is finally reunited with his beloved son.
A memorial service will be held in the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Dale Baker will be officiating and burial will be at a later date in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
