Donald E. Marvin, age 69, of Caledonia, Ohio passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014, at 5:33 p.m in the Marion General Hospital.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 27, 1944 to Medford and Mary (Byers) Marvin.
On April 3, 2003 in Dunkirk, Ohio Don married the former Gloria Wells and she preceded him in death on April 17, 2011 in Columbus, Ohio.
Don was employed for over 20 years as a brakeman for the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad. He was a member of the New Covenant Fellowship Church and a past member of Eagles Lodge #337.
Surviving are 3 daughters; Penny Marvin of Green Camp, Oh., Lisa (Mark) Veley of Caledonia, Oh., & Lorri (Dean) Greashaber of Marion, Oh., 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by 1 daughter; Donna Marvin, 2 brothers & 1 sister.
No calling hours will be observed. A graveside service will be held in the Marion Cemetery on Friday, August 29th, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Stephen Jobe officiating.
