T. Jean Foster age 86 of Marion passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at her home at Primrose of Marion.
She was born August 30, 1927 daughter of the late Jenifer Reay.
In 1949 she married Warren A. Foster who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Debra Ann Foster of Head, Oregan, a son Randolph Allen Foster died in 2011 in Columbus, Ohio.
Jean graduated in 1945 from Winber High School where she was a cheerleader and gymnast, then attended O.S.U and in 1949 received her B.S. in education-phys- ed . She later did graduate work at Ohio Northern University. She taught fourth and fifth grade at George Washington School. In 1977 she was named a Jenning Scholar and in 1981 teacher of the year. She enjoyed painting Christmas items and did craft shows state wide. Her crafts will be auctioned off August 23, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at 529 Summit Street.
A Graveside service will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. in Marion Cemetery, newer part. Pastor Keith Irey will officiate.
