Ada Catherine McIntire age 82 of Marion, Ohio went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by her family on August 30, 2014 at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
She was born September 4, 1931 in Marion, Ohio to the late William (Mary) Smith and Doris (Tommy) Thompson.
She married Herbert (Mac) McIntire in 1950 and he proceeded her in death on January 21, 1989.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Arnett and Shirley (Bill) Harper, four sons, Gary (Tammy) McIntire, Tom McIntire, Pastor James (Kay) McIntire, and Michael (Tamara) McIntire. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren all of Marion. She was the eldest of six children. She is survived by two sisters, Ella Howard of Marengo, Donna (Larry) Osche of Bucyrus, and one brother William (Debby) Smith of Marengo.
She is proceeded in death by a sister Virginia Harrison, one brother Bobby Smith, son in law Jim Arnett, and grandchild Bradley Morrison.
Ada retired from Tecumseh Products with over 22 years of service. She was a member of Marion Enterprise Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending church and working in the kitchen during VBS. Ada loved her church family very much. She enjoyed listening to Tradeo every morning.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Marion Enterprise Baptist Church 130 Orton Street. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Orton Street Baptist Church with Rev. Cory Carroll Officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
