Della Mae French, age 82, of Marion passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at her residence.
She was born in Scioto County, Ohio on February 3, 1932 to the late Joseph and Bertha (Henson) Childers.
Della married Esta H. French in Catlettsburg, Kentucky on July 2, 1948 and he preceded her in death on June 16, 2010 in Marion, Ohio.
She was a member of the Tyler Street Mission and a lifelong homemaker.
Della is survived by 1 son; Russell H. French of Montana, 5 daughters; Doris (Joe) Williams, Brenda (Cairl) Welch, Wilma (Bob) Johnson, Wanda Ray, & Ruby Shope all of Marion, Oh., 1 brother; Raymond Childers of Oak Hill, Oh., 2 Sisters;, JoAnne Garrett of Granbury, Tx. & Maxine Harrion of Newport News, Va., 17 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Sunday, September 14, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. Rev. Ed Layne will conduct the funeral service in the funeral home on Monday at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
