James A. Wise, 65, of Marion

James A. Wise age 65 passed away Thursday August 29, 2014 at Marion General Hospital.

He was born July 9, 1949 in Marion to the late Harry A. Wise and Reva Jane Thompson who survives.

James was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member  of the 11 meter club, U.S. Open Committee, Marion Harding Booster, and the American Legion.

James is survived by his mother, one son James Wise Jr. of Marion, two daughters Sarah Montee of Bucyrus, Carolyn (Tod) Kennedy of Racine, Ohio, two brothers Robert (Jamie) Wise of Marion, Dale (Sherry) Wise of Marion, one sister Carla Clements of Texas, ten grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until noon Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Rev. Naomi Beckel officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
