Marjorie Ann Clayton, age 92, died Monday September 8, 2014 at 8:10 AM at Sterling House in Marion. She was born November 17, 1921 in Union County to the late K. Earl and Hazel (Fulton) Vance.
On October 19, 1941 she married Donald R. Clayton and he died December 26, 1983.
She is survived by one daughter; Sharon (Tom) Ackerman of Wilmington, Ohio, two sons; Dan Clayton of Calhoun, GA and David (Deb) Clayton of Wadsworth, OH. Nine Grandchildren and fourteen Great Grandchildren. One sister Marilyn Kilfian of West Mansfield and several Nieces and Nephews.
Marjorie was preceded in death by one son; Gary Clayton, Daughter-in-law Marilyn Clayton, brother; William Vance and sister; Isobel Gopp.
She was a member of the LaRue United Methodist Church and served on various committees at the church. She was a 1940 graduate of York High School.
Graveside services will be held Saturday September 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the LaRue Cemetery. Minister will be The Rev. Mike Raypholtz. There will be no calling hours. The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue is helping the family with arrangements.
