Norma Jean Oldfield, 85, of Crossville, TN., formerly of Claridon, OH., passed away at the Parkwest Hospital, Knoxville, TN. on Friday, September 12, 2014, at 2:30 p.m.
She was born in Marion, Ohio on August 19, 1929 to Walter and Grace (Foster) Seckel.
Norma was a member of the Claridon United Methodist Church and an associate member of the Visually Impaired Support Group of Cumberland Co., TN. She managed the restaurant facilities at the Whetstone Golf Course for many years and was a school bus driver for the River Valley School System for over 25 years. In her later years, Norma worked with Marion Home Health Care before moving to Tennessee.
Surviving are a daughter; Linda (Don) Simmons of Fairfield Glade, TN., 5 grandchildren; Frank & Robert Stokley, Michael Gatshall, Michael Clever, and Nikki Ralston, 9 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son; Timothy Oldfield, a great granddaughter; Lindsay Clever, and a brother; Harold Seckel.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Frank Zugaro Jr. will be conducting the service and burial will follow in the Claridon Cemetery.
