Tony Galati born October 27, 1922 to Charles Galati and Rosa (Welch) Galati, passed away peacefully August 28, 2014 at home after a brief illness.
Married to Evelyn Conn on April 26, 1941, who passed away April 20, 1985. He is survived by two sons and one dughter, Eddie Galati of Marion, Oh., Joyce (Edgar) Myers of Florida, John (Donna) Galati of Caledonia, Oh., five grandchildren, Robin (Mike) Stapelton, Dianna Fryman, Kathleen (Mike) Wanamaker, John Galati Jr. and Joe Galati, ten great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and his special friend, Mary Blevins of Prospect, Oh.
He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, parents Charles and Rosa, brothers Charles and Joe, daughter Josetta and a granddaughter Jennifer McClure.
Tony worked for American Malable in Marion for 26 years, Brontel for ten years and then owned his foundry T&J Aluminum Castings for fifteen years. Tony enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and special friend Mary. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge.
Visitation for Tony will be held Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 10 – 11 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Waldo Cemetery at 11:30 AM with Brian Keeran officiating.
