Ada Lee Fisher, 76, formerly of Marion

Ada Lee FisherAda Lee Fisher, 76, of Dublin and formerly of Marion, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Altercare of Hilliard after a long illness.

She was born in Marion, Ohio on October 1, 1938 to the late Harry and Lucy (Williamson) Lutz, and was the youngest of seven children. Ada graduated from Harding High School in 1956. After attending Ohio State, she pursued a career as an executive secretary at Reynolds Metals in Richmond, and later took a position as a paralegal in a San Francisco law firm. Returning to Marion in 1968, she joined Howard Swink Advertising as an account manager and later became an advertising manager at Dow Chemical in Columbus.

On July 24, 1970, she married C. Richard Fisher, who was creative director at Swink. They have one daughter, Kelly Windsor Fisher.

Lee, as she was known to her family and friends, was clever of mind and sharp of wit, and was someone who was known to be tirelessly reliable and giving to others. She was the person who would always predict the end of any mystery novel (usually by simply reading the first few pages) and had a firm and confident way of judging character and quality – in a restaurant, movie, car, but most acutely in another person. She loved to travel, visiting countries such as Ireland, Spain, England and France. Her travels included frequent trips to Nordstrom and J. Crew.

She is survived by, and will be greatly missed by, her husband; her daughter; her step daughter, Jane Fisher; two step sons: Rich and Steve Fisher; her niece, Carol Loyer; and many others in the Lutz family.

Lee’s family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to the Parkinson’s Foundation at Parkinsons.org.

Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home is honored to have been chosen to serve Lee’s family and your condolences may be expressed to them by visiting www.SnyderFuneralHomes.com.
