Virginia “Jenny” Helton, age 65, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 03, 2014 at the Marion General Hospital.
Jenny was born on December 14, 1948 in Cardington, the daughter of Harry David and Virginia (Murphy) Augenstein. She attended the Cardington High School. Jenny spent her time working as a caregiver and STNA in Home Health Care services.
Jenny had a deep devotion to her family and especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked to play all types of card games and went to BINGO when she could. She also enjoyed talking with friends and keeping up with all of her TV shows.
She will be greatly missed by her beloved children: Frankie (Loren) Griem and Kenneth (Amanda) Helton; her grandchildren: Melissa Stewart, Arika (Cody Frye)Gullett, Adrianna Stanford, Kiley Griem, Christian Helton, Kaimin Damron, Mary Damron and Sabastian Helton; great grandchildren: Malachi and Destiny Frye; Siblilngs: Martha (Leroy) Wright, Karen Linder, Bruce Augenstein, Brian Augenstein, Mary (Tom Terry) Bowens and Vicki (Ron) Davidson; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Jenny is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hershel Eugene Helton; her children: Paul David and Paula Denise Lindsay; siblings: JoAnn Clark, Harry, Elwood and Grover Augenstein.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center Street, Marion from 11AM to 1PM; Funeral services will immediately follow at 1PM; Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
