Jimmy D. Cook, age 50 of St. Petersburg, FL, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014, as a result of an automobile accident in Florida.
He was born on October 3, 1964 to Janice (Burke) Williams and James E. Cook in Oakhill, Ohio, and they survive.
Jimmy is also survived by 2 daughters: Mya (Patrick) Butler, and Jackie (Ben) Mobley; 3 grandchildren: Emily and Daryl Butler, and Katelynn Mobley, all of Marion; 3 sisters: Ginny (Scott) Montgomery of Akron, Denise (Bill) Gilbert, and Amy (Rolf) Kamphowe and 1 brother, Ricky Cook, all of Marion; 3 nieces: Jacqueline Hudnell of Michigan, Erika and Sierra Gilbert of Marion; 3 nephews: Justin Montgomery of Akron, and Timothy and Eric Kamphowe of Marion, as well as 3 special aunts, several aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jimmy was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Cook of Kissimmee, FL, step-father, Roger A. Williams, grandparents, James and Elizabeth (Eisenhower) Cook, and Herbert and Eileen (Blankenship) Burke of Marion, Aunts Virginia Mae Burke of Columbus, and Mabel L. Flach of Indiana, and cousins John Kevin Goodwin of Florida, and Timothy Lobb of Marion.
Jimmy was a carpenter and a laborer for 25 years. He enjoyed singing, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. He had a fishing pole ready to go and even broke his leg this past summer trying to get to his fishing spot. Jimmy enjoyed life and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Jimmy attended Calvary Bible Baptist Church and River Valley High School 1982.
