Margaret M. Adams, 80, of Marion passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014, at 4:02 p.m. in the Marion General Hospital.
She was born on July 13, 1934 in Leatha, Kentucky to the late Levi and Annie (Conley) Tackett.
Margaret married Emitt N. Adams Sr. in Salyersville, Ky. on April 16, 1951 and he preceded her in death on July 13, 2008 in Marion, Oh.
She was a member of White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church.
During her years of employment, Margaret worked as a nurse’s aid at Sawyer’s Sanitarium and Eastlawn Manor, operated the Iberia Restaurant, and for many years was employed at Goodwill Industries before her retirement.
She is survived by a son; Cecil D. Abrams of Marion, a daughter; Loreva Williams of Marion, a brother; Everett Tackett of Bucyrus, Oh., a sister; Alkie Swyheart of Salyersville, Ky., 2 grandchildren; Margaret Fitch of Springfield, Oh. & Alicia Adams of Marion, 3 great grandchildren; Ryan, Cory, & Katie, and a great god daughter; Cheyenne.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son; Emitt Adams Jr., 3 brothers; George, Floyd, & Clay Tackett, and 2 sisters; Virginia Borders & Alice Dutton.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Rev. Danny Dickerson will conduct the funeral service on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in the Iberia Cemetery.
