Ruth K. Joan, age 79 of Caledonia, went to be with her Lord on Thursday morning, November 13, 2014 at the Sarah Moore Community in Delaware, Ohio.
Ruth was born on February 8, 1935 in Pomeroy, Ohio, the daughter of the late Milton and Daisy May (Goble) Hysell.
She worked for Komatsu in the maintenance department and the parts department. She retired from the company with over 25 years of service.
Ruth enjoyed reading and baking. She especially enjoyed cheering on her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. Ruth was a woman of deep faith and valued her family and friends. She will be missed by her friends June, Eloise, and Donny at the Sarah Moore House.
Ruth is survived by her children: Ronald Joan, Russell Alan (Kimberly) Joan and Renee (Mike) Benedetti; Grandchildren: Ronald (Kathy) Joan II, Roy Joan, Aubrey (Justin) Mayle, Amy Workman, and Michael (Marisa) Benedetti; Step granddaughter: Marisa (Nathan) Coey ; Great grandchildren: Abigail, Brandon, Connor, Levi, Matthew, Megan, Sarah, and Wesley; Siblings: Paul (Rose) Hysell, David (the late Judy) Hysell, Norma Boone, Betty Hysell, and Linda Hysell.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert Landon; and brothers Mark Hysell and Robert Hysell.
Visitation will be TODAY, Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 North Main St., Mt. Gilead from 5 to 7PM ; Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30AM with Pastor Rick Negley officiating, burial will be in the Iberia Cemetery.
