Valerie M. “Val” Daso, age 67, of Marion, died unexpectedly Monday evening, November 3, 2014, at the Marion General Hospital following a brief illness.
On December 4, 1947, Val was born in Marion, Ohio, the daughter of the late Omar and Juanita (Pickering) Bourque. She attended Marion Harding High School.
For over 37 years, Val was a dedicated manager and district manager at McDonald’s Restaurant, retiring in 2012 from their Main Street location.
Having a huge heart, Val deeply loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many dear friends. She also loved reading and watching crime tv shows.
She will be dearly missed by her three children: Sandy Lambert of Marion, Timothy (Amanda) Daso Jr. of Paintsville, KY, and Robert Daso of Marion; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Including her parents, Val was preceded in death by a son, William Miller; a daughter, Veronica Miller; and a great-grandson.
Services honoring Val’s life will be observed privately by her family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the care of the funeral home to help her family with funeral expenses.
