Virginia M. Cross, age 93, of Marion, died Sunday, November 09, 2014 at Sterling House of Marion.
She was born April 29, 1921 in Marion, OH to the late Dale and Lucy (Penelton) McMorrow.
In September of 1964 Virginia married Carl T. Cross who preceded her in death after 41 years of marriage on June 12, 2005.
Virginia worked for Fulfilment and General Telephone. She enjoyed making quits and crocheting, playing bingo and euchre, and working cross word puzzles. Virginia will be missed by all that knew her.
Virginia is survived by children, Mike (Betsy) of Colorado and Pat (Ann) Murphy of Prospect, grandchildren, Thom Murphy, Tonya Kardosh, Colleen Layne, and Karon Baxter; great-grandchildren, Amanda Layne, Aaron Layne, Lauren Murphy-Douglas, Hunter Baxter, Alyssa Baxter, and Anthony and Chase Kardosh; and great-great grandchild, Lennon Douglas. She was preceded in death by daughter, Sandy Murphy; sister, Ruth Predmore; and brother, Melvin McMorrow.
A private burial will take place at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors are handling arrangements.
