Alvin Edward Cellar, age 51 of Marion, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 18, 2014 in Marion.
Alvin was born in Marion on August 21, 1963, the son of the late Ronald E. (Betty) Cellar and Doris J. (Eugene “Keith”) Jordan.
Alvin will forever be remembered as a friend to all. He was a very selfless man that was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need. He was rarely seen without wearing his ball cap. In his younger years, he often enjoyed going for bike rides with his children. His most enjoyable hobby was spending time with his grandchildren whom he adored.
He is survived by his loving children: Christopher (Jessica) Cellar and Danielle (Nicholas) Moss; Stepdaughter Katrina Martinez; beloved grandchildren: Kage Moss, Cecillia Moss, Richard Cellar, Doris Cellar, Bryan, Jazzlynn, Olivia, McKenzie, and Hayden; his brother Ron (Deanna) Cellar; and half brothers: David (Susan) and Mike (Mandy) Cellar.
Along with his parents, Alvin was proceeded in death by his fiancé Tanya Keller.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 10 – 11 AM at Open Bible Enterprise Baptist Church, 1525 Bellefontaine Ave. Funeral Services will begin at 11 AM at the church with Rev. Delmar Marks officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
