Bozena I. “Irene” Jachimowicz, age 88, of Marion, died Monday, December 1, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Irene was born in Poland on September 1, 1926 to the late Rudolf Lewicki and Irena Wyszkowska.
On February 2, 1959 she married Dr. Tadeusz Jachimowicz who preceded her in death on June 8, 1971. Irene retired from General Telephone Company and was a member of St. Mary Church. She was a Master bridge player and member of the local Garden Club. She was also a former hospital volunteer.
Bozena is survived by daughter, Margaret (Robert) Hiss of West Jefferson; grandchildren, Robert (Kathy) Hiss, Michael (Jackie) Hiss, Meghan Hiss, Mollie Hiss, Kailee Hiss, and Zoe Hiss; and great-grandchildren, Ava and Amelia Hiss.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter and grandchildren and will forever be an inspiration to those who knew her
