Carl William Belcher age 68 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his residence.
He was born July 1, 1946 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Washington A. Belcher and Lue Vennie (Keeton) Belcher Ellis.
Carl was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1963-1967, he was employed at Purex in Marion and Ingrel Micro as an inventory clerk for several years. He was also a former member of the American Legion and VFW Posts.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Nora Ferree of Marion, two daughters, Laurie Belcher of Fl., Amanda Taddia of Fl., two brothers, John Belcher of Marion, Donald (Lora) Belcher of Marion, three sisters, Marie Russell of Marion, Sue (Russell Manley) Cooper of Marion, Barbara (Gregory) Klee of Marion, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Carl W. “Billy” Belcher Jr., one brother, Dennis Belcher and one sister, Dora Jean Christian.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, December 15, 2014 from 1 – 2 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Graveside Services will follow at 2:30 PM at the Marion Cemetery with the Marion County United Veterans Council conducting Military Services.
