Markay Southward, age 68 of Marion, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Marion General Hospital.
Markay was born on April 19, 1946 to the late Harold and Lorena (Knox) Hoptry in Marion, Ohio.
She was employed at the former FoodTown grocery store.
Besides her parents, Markay was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
She is survived by her son, Kevin (Connie) Ralston of New Bloomington, OH, daughter, Kathy Ralston of Marion, OH, her sisters, Mary Rife of Columbus, OH, and Loretta Hall of Marion, OH, as well as her 8 grandchildren, Kyle Ralston, Ryan Eckard, Kylie Vance, Casey Tucker, Brianna Tucker, Clayton Ralston, Clay Eckard, and A.J. Eckard, and her special friend, Charlene Dutton.
Services for Markay will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 7PM at Life Link Community Church, 248 Olney Ave, Marion, OH 43302. Friends may call on the family at the church prior to the service from 5-7PM. Interment will be at a later date.
