Sally A. “MeMe” Hoepf, 79, of Mount Gilead

Sally A. “MeMe” Hoepf, age 79, of Mount Gilead, passed away Monday afternoon, December 15, 2014, at her residence.

She was born on May 27, 1939, to the late Edward and Elizabeth S. (DeLong) Morgan, in Glouster, OH.

On January 24, 1976, Sally married the love of her life Arthur S. “Art” Hoepf. Together they shared 38 years of marriage until Art’s passing in July of this year.

For many years Sally worked on the production line for the Arundale Company.

Sally’s family was her proudest achievement in life. She loved to watch the grandkids play in volleyball, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, and track. As gifts, she would enjoy making everyone flannel blankets. When fair time came around, Sally would make homemade noodles and take them to the church dining hall where she also would volunteer in any way she could. Each and every Friday Sally took time to treat herself with getting her hair done by her close friend, Jennifer. When Sally wasn’t out running around town, you could find her completing a word search or spending time with her beagle, Ruger.

She is survived by her children: Scott (Lisa) Sanford of Ironton, OH, Brian Sanford of Mount Gilead, and Robin Jones of Galion; grandchildren: Travis Sanford of Mount Gilead and Jada (Justin) Taylor of Galion; a great grandson, Gunnar; and a sister-in-law Doris Morgan of Grove City.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Edward Morgan.

In keeping with Sally’s wishes, there will be a private celebration of life held by the family at a later date.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Hospice of Morrow County, 228 South Street, Mount Gilead, or sent to the care of the funeral home.

Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead are honored to have been chosen to serve Sally’s family and your condolences may be expressed to them by visiting www.SnyderFuneralHomes.com.
