Byron Leroy Pierce age 79 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at his residence.
He was born April 8, 1935 in Marion, Ohio to the late Thomas L. and Vena (Griffin) Pierce.
On July 11, 1953 in Liberty, IN., he married C. Jean (Moser).
Byron was a lifetime resident of Marion where he retired from the Whirlpool Corporation in maintenance for 43 years.
He is survived by his wife, C. Jean Pierce of Marion, OH., his five children, Ricky D. Pierce of Belvidere, IL., Sherry L. (Mike) Sobas of Marion, OH., Debra D. (Randy) Wood of Prattville, AL., Timothy M. Pierce of Oakwood, OH., Michael L. (Starr) Pierce of Marysville, OH., 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, his brothers, Darrel (Patricia) Pierce of Marion, OH., Charles Pierce of Columbus, OH. and numerous nieces and nephews. Byron was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 23, 2015 from 1 – 2 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2 PM at the funeral home with Chester Yoder officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
