David A. “Pops” Delauder, age 64, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at 1:05 p.m. in the Marion General Hospital.
He was born on April 28, 1950 in Marion, Ohio to the late Harry and Ella (Barr) Delauder.
David married the former Barbara Jean Medley in Caledonia, Ohio on September 17, 1974 and she survives.
He was a 1969 graduate of Harding High School, a devoted Cleveland Browns fan, enjoyed fishing, watching his boys play music, and truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
David was employed with the Marion County Dog Warden for 14 years and also worked for the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad and was a maintenance man for the Comfort Inn.
The lifelong Marion resident is survived by 4 sons, David (Andria) Delauder Jr. of Marion, Brian (Chantell) Delauder of New Bloomington, Jason (Danielle) Delauder of Marion, and Robert Delauder of Marion; a brother, Don Delauder of Morral; a sister, Jean Cochran of Marengo; and nine grandchildren, Darian, Carson, Alexia, Draven, Kayne, Luke, Lindsey, Liam, & Bella. David was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Sabastian & Abigail and two sisters, Kay Parks & Dixie Delauder.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00 p.m. Pastor David A. Delauder Jr. will be conducting the service at 7:00 p.m. and burial will be at a later date.
