Donna Ruth Savage age 90 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Friday January 9, 2015 at the Genesis Presidential Center in Marion.
She was born July 23, 1924 in Morral, Ohio to the late Ralph E. and Myrtle M. (Kim) Barrett.
On February 28, 1942 she married John R. Savage and he preceded her in death in 2007.
Donna was a member of Central Baptist Church and was very active in the church for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved all of her family very much.
Donna leaves behind a daughter and three sons; Paulette (Ray) Malone of Gulf Port, Mississippi, John R. (Peggy) Savage, Jr. Of Marion, Ohio, Paul J. (Glena) Savage of Prospect, Ohio, and Wayne R. (Debbie) Savage of Edwardsburg, Michigan. There are also fourteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, eighteen great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends surviving Donna.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, a great grandchild, two sisters; Wilma Turner and Mary Spitzer, and a brother, Ted Barrett.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday January 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Ryan Strother. Burial will follow in the Chapel Heights Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 4 to 7 P.M.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Central Baptist Church and Heartland Hospice.
