Eloise Jane Moore, 63, of Marion

Eloise Jane MooreEloise Jane Moore, age 63, of Marion, passed away on Thursday evening, January 22, 2015 surrounded by her family and friends at the Marion General Hospital.

Eloise was born on May 27, 1951, the daughter of Howard Mason and Katie Irene (Russell) French. She graduated from the Harding High School.

Eloise worked as a dietician at Marion General Hospital for 16 years. She was blessed to have such wonderful co-workers who were like family to her.

Eloise had the heart of a giver and a generous spirit. She was always doing special things for others, especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to bake and give those baked goods away to her family, friends and co-workers. She also enjoyed sitting on her porch and tending to her flowers.

She was a wonderful mother who instilled a strong work ethic in her children and raised them to be strong and independent.

Eloise is survived by her daughters: Katie Jane (Brian) Hershey and Cindy Kay (Stephen) Butterman; grandchildren: Stephanie Jane (Dustin) Price, Kiley Nichole Butterman and Kyle Stephen Butterman; great grandchildren: Kadence Nichole Price, Kenadie Noelia Price, Kadie Adaleigh Price and Jace Liam Stone Butterman; Siblings: Marilyn Kay Moore, Vickie Irene (Bob) Kanniard, Elmer Lee (Carolyn) French, William Joseph (Sandy) French and Ricky Richard (Donna) French; and her 30 year companion Doug Barnwell.

She is preceded in death by her husband George Stone Moore; her parents; and siblings: Howard Eugene French, Larry French, Roger Dale French and Randy Jay French.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Funeral services will be Tuesday at the funeral home at 1PM with Pastor Owen Lindsay officiating; Burial will be in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
