Madelon Baker, 86, of Ashley passed away Tuesday evening January 6, 2015 at the Kindred Nursing and Rehab Center in Marion surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 5, 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Roy B. Farringer and Lillian (King) Farringer.
Madelon worked for the Marion Homemaker Services and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Avenue Church of Christ in Marion and also attended Westfield Community Church in Ashley. She attended Mt. Gilead Senior Citizens and she enjoyed making quilts and cooking for her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Jeanette Sue (Frank) Rayburn of Ashley and Diane Persinger of Slippery Rock, PA; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two brothers Virgil Farringer of Harrison, OH and William Farringer of New Philadelphia, OH; numeorus nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John C. Baker and a brother Robert Farringer.
The family will receive friends on Friday January 9th from 12:00 (noon) until time of funeral services at 2:00 pm at the Westfield Community Church, 880 Co. Rd. 21, Ashley, OH. Burial will follow in Caledonia Cemetery.
