Margaret C. Price (Dennig), 77, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Marion General Hospital after a long battle with diabetes and its complications.
On October 30, 1937, Margaret was born in Marion, Ohio, the daughter of the late Adolph and Rose Mae (Hubbard) Dennig. She graduated from Claridon High School in the Class of 1955.
Shortly after graduation, Margaret married the love of her life, Raymond L. Price, on July 2, 1955, and they have cherished their 59 years together.
A lifelong homemaker, Margaret was a devoted wife, and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In her earlier years, she worked hard on the farm to help Raymond. Also, when their children were active in school sports and other activities, she attended most every event with spirit and pride.
Her favorite pastimes were puzzles, reading and listening to country music. Her favorite singers were Dolly Parton and Kenny Chesney.
She loved to travel the country, either driving or cruising. She lived her dream while cruising to and touring Hawaii in 2014. In her travels, she enjoyed at least a dozen Elvis impersonators.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Raymond L. Price; their five children: Karen L. Holston, Debbie (Bill) Albright, David Price, Michael (Joanne) Price and Larry Price, all of Marion; eleven grandchildren: Karellyn and Macy Holston, Nichole Spear, Shannon and Trevor Robinson, Kayla Fathbruckner, Chris Price, Michelle Campbell, Jessica Schwartz, Cody Price and Addyson Price; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Ann (Bill) Wickersham in Caledonia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Including her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ed Holston; four brothers and two sisters.
Her family will greet friends from 1 – 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21st, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. Services honoring her life will follow there at 2 p.m., with Rev. Joel Fetter officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., and they may be sent to the care of the funeral home.
