Robert “Bobby” Potts, Jr., age 30, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the OSU Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with leukemia.
Bobby was born in Marion on August 15, 1984, the son of Robert L. Potts and Joette (Edmonds) Hill. He attended River Valley High School and graduated in the class of 2003. Bobby worked for Verizon Wireless in Port Clinton.
Bobby was an accomplished athlete and enjoyed participating in wrestling, football and track. He enjoyed time playing paintball, rifle shooting, cheering on the Buckeyes and the Indians and cookouts with family and friends. Bobby loved his family and especially being able to spoil his two special nieces. He also attended the Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his parents: Robert L. (Jenny) Potts and Joette (Marvin) Hill; his sisters: Kristy (Steven) Allen, Leah Potts and Shelby Seymour; nieces: Alisha and Taylor Allen; grandparents: Alice and the late Harold Edmonds and Bill and Margaret Potts; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Home, 347 West Center St., Marion from 2PM to 5PM; Funeral services will be held on Monday at Victory Center Church of God, 1190 E. Fairground St., Marion at 10:30AM with Pastor Donald Howell officiating; Burial will be in Green Camp Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to support the family with Bobby’s celebration of life.
