Gene A. Blevins, age 68, of Marion passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 3:25 p.m. in the Marion General Hospital.
He was born July 22, 1946 in Ironton, Ohio to Eli Blevins and Louise (Akers) Blevins Thomas. His father is deceased and his mother and stepfather, Melvin Thomas survive in Marion.
He is also survived by brothers, James (Peggy) Blevins, Bob (Connie) Blevins, Clint (Berta) Blevins, and Don Blevins all of Marion, OH.; sisters, Kathy (Larry) Brown, Kay (Rev. James) McIntire, and Connie (Gary) Lanthron all of Marion, Oh.; and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eli Blevins; brothers, Denny & Troy Blevins; sister, Linda Higgins; and a nephew, Army Specialist, Zachary Lanthron.
Funeral services will be held at the Marion Enterprise Baptist Church on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Corey Carroll and Pastor James McIntire officiating. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27th, at the church, 130 Orton St., from 4-8 p.m.
