Georgia “Ann” Williamson, age 83, of Edison, died peacefully in her sleep, Tuesday morning, February 10, 2015, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born on July 3, 1931, to the late Clayton J. and Auttie M. (Sanders) Rivers in Tuppers Plains, OH.
On December 19, 1953, Ann married Jay Williamson in Marysville, OH.
A women of faith, Ann was a member of Edison Enterprise Baptist Church.
Ann devoted her life to taking care of her family and friends. Her kids and grandkids meant the world to her. As a homemaker, Ann enjoyed taking care of her vegetable garden and flowers. She also liked to make afghans and other home goods for those she loved. Ann always put the needs of others before her own.
She will be dearly missed by her children: Danny (Melodie) Williamson of Bay Area, CA, Kathy Hanahan of Marion, Tony (Heather) Williamson of Mount Gilead; grandchildren: Aaron, Aliza, Crystal, and Sarah-Faith; great grandchildren: Daniel, Joshua, Elizabeth, Katelyn, Nathen, Miley, Khloe, and Aubree; a brother: Clayton “Sparky” Rivers of LaRue; sisters: Peggy Moore, Marilyn Tillman, Eulah Baker all of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Butchie Williamson; granddaughter, Amber; two brothers; and three sisters.
Ann’s family will greet friends on from 11AM to 1PM on Friday, February 13, 2015, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead. A service celebrating Ann’s life will begin at 1PM with Brother Roger Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in Claridon Cemetery.
