Harold Eugene Shaffer age 89 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Saturday February 21, 2015 at his residence.
He was born November 3, 1925 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Wyandot Co., to the late Howard and Minnie (Agerter) Shaffer.
Harold was a retired truck driver. He also was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge #889, the American Legion Post in Waldo, Ohio, and the Stephen Chaney V.F.W. Post #7201. He also loved to fish and hunt.
Harold is survived by his companion of thirty-four years, Mary Napper of Marion, Ohio, and a brother, Eddie (Donna) Shaffer of Lovell, Ohio, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and eight brothers.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Floyd Radebaugh. Burial will follow in the Agosta Cemetery in New Bloomington, Ohio with Military Rites by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday February 24, 2015 from 6 to 8 P.M.
